Weird Characters Portrayed By Famous Actors

A person in a narrative work of arts such as novel, play, TV shows and series, and films, is called a character performing strange, weird, odd or eccentric behavioral character of a person played by an actor. A particular character, enacted by an actor in the theater, or cinema, involving illusion of being a human person. Since the late 18th century, the term in character has been used to describe an effective character and impersonation by an actor, and in the 19th century, actors, writers create characters, and practice characterization of the person they mimic. Type or type casts is a character represents a particular group and class of people. The main character or narrative is known a protagonist is also the same person as the focal character (the character on whom the audience focus their interest and attention), while the antagonist is a character or group of characters, or institution representing the opposition against which the protagonist must strive or struggle in opposition or against difficulties with the antagonist), thus, an antagonist is a person or a group of people who oppose the  lead or  main characters.  The action in the story in a classic style  consist of the protagonist as the hero fighting the antagonist or villain or enemy. In both films or theater, examples such as the main antagonist in The Lord of the Ring, Sauron, identified as the Necromancer, who constantly battles the series’ protagonists. Sometimes, a protagonist work will play a particular character, only to dispose of that character unexpectedly, as a dramatic device or literary technique of any standardized method to convey the author’s message, which is also known as false protagonist, an example is the character of Marion in the 1960′s Psycho an Alfred Hitchcock episode. In most cases, the audience usually identify with the protagonist. In the Ancient Greece theater, three actors portrayed all of the main dramatic roles ending in a tragedy, which the protagonist portrayed the leading role, while the other roles were portrayed by deuteragonist, the second most important character, after the protagonist and before the tritagonist is the third most important narrative  character, after the protagonist and deuteragonist.

1) Lord Voldemort

The scary character of Lord Voldemort (born Tom Marvolo Riddle) is the main antagonist and a fictional character of J.K. Rowling’s series of Harry Potter. In the Harry Potter series, Voldemort is the Harry Potter’s archenemy,  and has the power to defeat the Dark Lord according to a prophecy. Most witches or wizards never dares to mention his name, instead they refer to him by epithets or a descriptive word or phrase, such as Dark Lord, You-Know-Who or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. To achieve pure-blood dominance, Voldemort uses Muggle (a person who lacks any sort of magical ability, and was not born into the world of magic)and wizarding. Through Voldemort‘s mother’s family, he is the last wizard Salazar Slytherin descendant, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Lord Voldemort is the leader of the group of evil wizards and witches, called Death Eaters, dedicated to ridding the Wizarding World of Muggles and establishing Voldemort as its supreme ruler.

Ralph Fiennes

An English actor, Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes born 22 December 1962, best known as Shakespeare, he first achieved his successful career onstage in the Royal National Theater. In 1993, Fiennes earned a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in his portrayal as Amon Goeth, Nazi war criminal in Schindler’s List, and for Best Supporting Actor in the Golden Globe Award and won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Fiennes, earned his second Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in his performance as Count Almásy  in the 1996′s The English Patient, as well as BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. Fiennes has starred in the 1998′s The Prince of Egypt, 1999′s The End of the Affair, 2002′s Red Dragon, 2005′s The Constant Gardener and the 2005 to 2011′s the Harry Potter film series and played the role Lord Voldemort, 2008′s The Reader and 2010′s Clash of the Titans. In 2012, Fiennes also portrayed Gareth Mallory and M in the Skyfall a James Bond film and Magwitch in Great Expectations. Ralph Fiennes is an ambassador for UNICEF UK and work in India, Uganda, Romania and Kyrgyztan. While a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Fiennes met English actress Alex Kingston, both are still students at that time, and married in 1993, after dating for ten years. In 1997, the couple divorced. Ralph Fiennes began an affair with his Hamlet co-star, Francesca Annis in 1995, and left Kingston in 1996, the following year, they were divorced in 1997.  Fiennes, age 50 and Annis, age 68, separated in February 2006, after 11 years together.

2)  Rubeus Hagrid

Rubeus Hagrid is a Harry Potter’s fictional character book series written by J.K. Rowling.  Rubeus Hagrid is described as a half-giant and half-man, the gamekeeper, Keeper of Key and Grounds of Hogwarts, introduced in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the primary setting for the first six novels. In the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban third novel, Rubeus Hagrid is promoted to Care of Magical Creatures teacher, and later becomes an Order of the Phoenix‘s  member. Hagrids pets are a large but cowardly boardhound dog, named Fang, and Aragog, an Acromantula, a giant sentient spider who can talk, who can create a unique clicking noise as he moved in search of prey. Hagrid found him a mate, he named Mosag, with whom Aragog bore an entire colony of giant spiders. It was Aragog who revealed Harry and Ron that he was not the Monster of Slytherin, but another creature. Although Aragog allowed his children spiders to attack Harry, Ron, and Fang, they were saved at the last minute by Mr. Weasley’s flying car, which had been lost months before, in the forest. Aragog remained for the rest of his life in the Forbidden Forest.

Robbie Coltrane

Robbie Coltrane, OBE, born Anthony Robert McMillan on March 30, 1950, is a Scottish actor, comedian and author. Coltrane is best known for his roles as Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, also played as Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in the GoldenEye an episode of James Bond films and The World is Not Enough and as  Dr. Eddie “Fitz” Fitzgerald in the 1990′s the Cracker, a British TV series. Robbie Coltrane married Rhona Gemmell on December 11, 1999, and together, they have two children, Spencer and Alice.

3) Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is one of the J.K. Rowling’s series Harry Potter’s protagonist and a major character. For most of the series, Dumbledore is the headmaster of the wizarding Hogwarts school, and as a part of his back story, revealing that he is the founder and leader of the organization Order of the Phoenix, dedicated to fighting Lord Voldemort ,the main antagonist of the series. The first Professor Dumbledore is portrayed by actor Richard Harris in the film adaptions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The remaining series of Harry Potter, Professor Dumbledore is portrayed by Michael Gambon, after Richard Harris’ death, for all of the remaining films. According to Rowling, she chose the name Dumbledore, which is an Early Modern English word for bumblebee, because of Dumbledore fashion and love of music, and she can imagine Dumbledore, walking around and humming to himself. 

Sir Michael John Gambon

Irish-born English film, television and theater actor Sir Michael John Gambon, KBE born October 19, 1940. Gambon is a highly respected theater actor, recognized for his roles as Philip Marlow in the BBC television series The Singing Detectives, in the 1990′s ITV series Maigret as Jules Maigret, and in the final six Harry Potter films as Professor Albus Dumbledore. At the age of 22, Michael Gambon married Anne Miller, but he has always been secretive about his personal life,  and in one interview he responded “what wife?”, when asked about his marital status. The couple is residing near Gravesend, Kent, where Anne has a workshop. Gambon was appointed a Knight Bachelor for “services to drama” in the 1998 New Year Honors, and on July 17, 1998 was invested by Prince Charles. Gambon and Miller have one son, Fergus Gambon, a ceramics expert on the BBC’s Antique Roadshow. Michael Gambon brought Philippa Hart to the set while filming Gosford Park and introduced her to co-stars as his girlfriend. In 2002, when the affair was revealed, Gambon moved out of the marital home and purchased a bachelor pad. It was revealed that Hart was pregnant with Gambon’s child, in February 2007,  and gave birth to son, Michael, in May 2007. Hart gave birth to her second child on June 22, 2009, a boy named William, who is Gambon’s third child.

Sir Richard Harris

Richard St John Harris was born October 1, 1930 – died October 25, 2002, was an Irish actor, singer, theatrical producer, film director and writer, and has appeared on stage and in many films, and best known for his role as Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter film series first two films. Harris played as King Arthur in Camelot, the 1967 film and the revival of the show in 1982. Harris is well remembered for his role as an aristocrat and prisoner in 1970′s A Man Called Horse, in 2000′s Gladiator as Emperor Marcus Aurelius, and as Saint John in 2002′s Apocalypse Revelation, and many more noted characters he had portrayed. Richard Harris married Elizabeth Rees-Williams in 1957, daughter of 1st Baron Ogmore David Rees-Williams, and together they have three children, actor Jared Harris, who played Lane Pryce on AMC’s Mad Men, who was once married to Emilia Fox, actor Jamie Harris and director Damian Harris, once married to Annabel Brooks and now living with partner Peta Wilson. In 1969, Richard Harris and Rees-Williams divorced, after which Elizabeth Rees-Williams, married Rex Harrison. Harris’s second marriage was to American actress Ann Turkel, however, their marriage ended in a divorce. Harris was a member of the Roman Catholic Knights of Malta, and was also dubbed in 1985 as knight by the Queen of Denmark. Richard Harris was an alcoholic for longtime until in 1981, he became a teetotaler (a person who abstains totally from intoxicating or alcoholic drink), although he did resume drinking a decade later. Harris also gave up drugs after almost dying in 1978, from a cocaine overdose. In August 2002, Harris was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease, reportedly after being hospitalized with pneumonia. He died on October 25, 2002, at age 72, at University College Hospital, London, two and a half weeks before the American premiere of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. His remains were cremated, and his ashes were scattered in his home in The Bahamas. Harris and actor Peter O’Toole was a lifelong friend and his family reportedly hoped that O’Toole would replace Harris as Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, however, worries of insuring O’Toole for the six remaining films in the series, and he was ultimately replaced as Dumbledore by Sir Michael Gambon, the Irish-born actor.

4)   Narcissa Malfoy

Narcissa “Cissy” Malfoy, born Narcissa Black to Cygnus Black III and Druella Rosier, the youngest of three sisters, her older sisters are Bellatrix Lestrange and Andromeda Tonks. Narcissa Malfoy is a cousin of Sirius and Regulus Black and an aunt to Nymphadora Tonks, Andromeda’s daughter. Narcissa Malfoy attended Hogwarts, where she was in Slytherin. Narcissa married Lucius Malfoy, and together they have one son, Draco Malfoy, of whom she is extremely protective. Narcissa seems to share the Blacks family and her husband’s views on blood purity on the outside, her actions indicated that she is more concerned about the welfare of her family than helping Lord Voldemort. Narcissa Malfoy is portrayed by Helen McCrory in the Harry Potter film series.

Helen McCrory

Helen Elizabeth McCrory is a British actress, best known for her portrayal as Cherie Blair in 2006 film The Queen and the 2010 film The Special Relationship. Helen McCrory is best known for her role as Narcissa Malfoy, in the final three Harry Potter films. In 2011, She also played as Mama Jeanne in Hugo, a Martin Scorsese’s family mystery film, and in Skyfall, the most recent new James Bond film. Helen McCrory married actor Damian Lewis on July 4, 2007, and she gave birth in 2006 to a daughter, Manon and a son, Gulliver born in 2007. The family lives in Tufnell Park, London and Los Angeles. Helen McCrory is an Honorary Patron of the Scene and Heard, a London children’s charity.

Draco Malfoy

Draco Lucius Malfoy is an antagonist character in Harry Potter film series. During Harry Potter’s year, Draco is a Slytherin student, and frequently accompanied by his two accomplices, acting as his henchmen, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. Draco’s character is described as a cowardly bully who manipulates and hurt people to get whatever he wants, and he is a cunning user of magic. Draco Malfoy was portrayed by Tom Felton in the Harry Potter film series. Slytherin is one of the four Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’s  Houses, and is traditional home to students exhibiting such traits as cunning, resourcefulness, and ambition. The snake with its colors of green and silver, is the emblematic animal of the Slytherin House.

Tom Felton

Thomas Andrew “Tom” Felton, is an English actor and singer, born September 22, 1987, and is best known for playing the role of Draco Malfoy, in the Harry Potter film series, from 2001 to 2011, for which he auditioned at age twelve. At the age of eight, Tom Felton started filming in commercials and at the age of ten, Felton started appearing in the films, Anna and the King and The Borrowers. Tom Felton’s portrayal as Draco Malfoy, in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows, Part 1, where he won in 2010 and 2011′s the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain. Felton appeared in the 2011 film Rise of the Planet of the Apes, a reboot of the series of Planet of the Apes, his first post-Harry Potter film. Felton stated that his favorite villains in films is the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, character Sheriff of Nottingham, portrayed by actor Alan Rickman, a fellow Harry Potter actor, and the characters in Harry Potter films, Lucius Malfoy, who played the father of Draco, and Gilderoy Lockhart. Tom Felton also stated, if he could play another character in the film, he would play Lucius Malfoy, or even Lord Voldemort. And when asked which house he would like to be in Hogwarts, he responded definitely he will chose Slytherin.

5)  Severus Snape

Severus Snape is a fictional character in the Harry Potter, characterized as an imperfection, cold and sarcastic, with controlled emotions and anguish, tragic or anti-hero of considerable complexity. Severus Snape is a Hogwarts teacher who is hostile from the start toward Harry Potter, in the firs novel of the film series, and is built up to be the primary antagonist until the final chapters. Severus Snape is an exceptionally skillful wizard who teaches Potions at Hogwarts school. In the Harry Potter’s sixth novel, Snape teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts, a position which he was known to have desired throughout the series. Snape’s actions in some series, he seemed to serve Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter’s opponent, although Professor Dumbledore, Harry’s mentor, often advises him that, despite his actions and animosity, Severus Snape is trustworthy and can rely on his true loyalties. In the final novel, Severus Snape becomes the Headmaster of Hogwarts, after killing Dumbledore at the end of the sixth book. In the final chapters of the seventh book, Severus Snape himself dies at the hands of dark Lord Voldemort.

Alan Rickman

Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman is an English actor, born February 21, 1946, a former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and a  renowned stage actor in modern and classical productions. Rickman’s breakout performance was in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, as the Vicomte de Valmont, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. Alan Rickman is best known for his film performances as Hans Gruber in Die Hard, and as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, for which he won the 1991′s BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a supporting Role, and as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter film series, as Eamon de Valera in Dogma, a Michael Collins,Metatron and as Ronald Reagan in The Butler. At the age of 19, Alan Rickman met his girlfriend in 1965, Rima Horton, a Labor party councilor on Kensington  and Chelsea London Borough Council in 1986 to 2006. Alan Rickman and Rima Horton began living together since 1977.

6)  Moaning Myrtle

Moaning Myrtle is a ghost in the Ravenclaw House, that haunts the girl’s lavatory at the Hogwarts school second floor. The moaning myrtle ghost scares the students by her sobbing, whine, wail and complain, especially when death is mentioned. Her constant moping and wailing causes lavatory  plumbing problems where she haunts. It is established in Chamber of Secrets, that the character of the moaning myrtle  is the ghost of a Muggle-born witch who died while a student at Hogwarts, fifty years ago. Myrtle was hiding and haunts the second floor girls’ lavatory to elude Olive Hornby, a classmate of hers who perpetually tormented her about her glasses, when the Chamber of Secrets was opened and the basilisk (a legendary reptile known to be king of serpents and said to have the power to cause death with a single glance) emerged and killed her. Tom Riddle otherwise known as Lord Voldemort, used her death to create his second Horcrux: his diary. Myrtle’s ghost haunted Olive everywhere she went, until Olive complained to the Ministry of Magic, which ordered Myrtle to return to Hogwarts, and since then, Myrtle has haunted the same lavatory where she died. Myrtle also helps Harry Potter with his second task in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Triwizard Tournament. Myrtle thought Harry how to solve the golden egg puzzle, that he retrieved in the first task, by opening the egg underwater. Myrtle is shown being much less miserable, and enjoys having Harry briefly to herself to boss around, and later meets Harry in the lake where she directs him to the merpeople’s village and says they don’t like her. Moaning Myrtle appears to comfort Draco, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, who is worried about the task Voldemort assigned him. Moaning Myrtle is portrayed by actress Shirley Henderson in the film versions of Chamber of Secrets and Goblet of Fire.

Shirley Henderson

Shirley Henderson is a Scottish actress, born November 24, 1965, best known for her roles in Trainspotting as Gail, in Bridget Jone’s Diary as Jude and in the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as the ghost Moaning Myrtle. Henderson got her first big break in the ITV’s children’s television drama Shadow of the Stone, when Leonard White cast her as the lead character. In 2002, Henderson played the character as Jude in Bridget Jones films and as he ghost of Moaning Myrtle in 2002′s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and the 2005′s Harry Potter and the Goblets of Fire. Shirley Henderson was the oldest actress to play the role of a child’s character in the films. Shirley Henderson also played as Sophie-Philippine, a French princess in 2006′s Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola, as Ursula Blake in the Love & Monsters, Doctor Who episode in2006, and as Emmeline Fox in the 2011′s The Crimson Petal and the White, and as DS Angela Young in 2011′s Death in Paradise and Meg Hawkins in 2012 Treasure Island. Henderson also played Karen as the lead role opposite John Simm in Everyday at Channel Four and as Meme Kartosov in Anna Karenina.

The Fat Friar at the Grand Staircase 

The Fat Friar is the ghost of the Hufflepuff House, a jolly man and very forgiving. In the film series of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, while the first years Hogwarts students are waiting for Professor McGonagall to return, the ghosts pass overhead, the Fat Friar is pleading on behalf of Peeves, the Poltergeist to allow him to attend to the welcome feast despite his past wrongdoings. And the same thing, when Peeves wants to join the welcome feast in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the Fat Friar was willing to give him a chance. The Fat Friar ghost in the Philosopher’s Stone film is portrayed by actor Simon Fisher-Becker. Peeves is a poltergeist who causes trouble in Hogwarts who only listen and scared to the Bloody Baron ghost and Professor Dumbledore.

Simon Fisher-Becker

Simon Fisher-Becker is an English film, stage and television actor, a comedian and also plays weird characters and antagonist, born November 25, 1961. Simon Becker’s most notable roles as ghost of The Fat Friar in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and as Dorium Maldovar in Doctor Who series 5 and 6. Becker, a versatile character actor, work has covered a wide spectrum, from Shakespeare to panto’, film, television, radio and theater. Fisher-Becker walks with a stick , a result of an attack when he was a victim of crime  in March 2009, when he was attacked at a petrol station by three youths and was badly beaten. He was left with permanent damage to his spine (vertibrae C4-T2) and a damaged knee. The severe damage cause by the attack where he was still recovering from his injuries in December 2009 and therefore was not able to appear in Panto, and as a result, he was available for the casting to play the role of Dorium Maldovar in Doctor Who.

7)  Griphook

Griphook is a goblin and a Gringotts employee until the Second Wizarding War. After Rubeus Hagrid presents the key of Harry Potter and the letter of Professos Dumbledore to an unnamed goblin in the Gringotts’ lobby, Griphook is called to escort Harry and Hagrid through the rail-system in the underground world to Harry’s vault, and afterwards to Vault 713 to retrieve the Philosopher’s Stone, and afterwards, Griphook is not heard again until the Deathly Hallows, when the Snatchers keeping Griphook in captive also captured Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Dobby, the house elf saved Griphook, along with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and successfully escapes to Shell Cottage. Harry Potter needs to take a Horcrux from the vault of Bellatrix, and needs help from Griphook who was reluctant to help them break into Gringotts, in exchange for the Gryffindor sword, but during their escape, Griphook betrayed Harry, Ron and Hermione to the other goblins and escaped with the sword. Griphook is shown dead among other goblins, in the movie, and the sword of Gryffindor vanishes before Voldemort can see it (this scene does not appear in the book). Griphook insist that the sword belongs to the goblins,however, the sword reappears when Neville Longbottom, a pure-blood Gryffindor student in Harry’s year, breaks free from Voldemort’s Full Body-Bind curse, pulls the sword from the Sorting Hat and beheaded Nagini (the snake,The seventh Horcrux) the constant companion of Voldemort. Nagini is the only living Horcrux apart from Harry Potter, created by Voldemort when he was hiding in the Albanian forests, the victim of murder was Bertha Jorkins, who led to its creation. In the film adaptation of Philosopher’s Stone, Griphook was portrayed by Verne Trover and in the Deathly Hollows films, Warwick portrayed Griphook and Filius Flitwick.

Verne J. Troyer

Verne J. Troyer is an American actor and stunt performer, born January 1, 1969, notable for his height of 2 ft 8 in as the result of Cartilage–hair hypoplasia (CHH), also known as McKusick type metaphyseal chondrodysplasia, cartilage-hair hypoplasia dwarfism, named him one of the shortest men in the world. Troyer is best known for his appearance in the comedy film Austin Powers 2 and 3 series playing the role as Mini-Me character. According to reports, on February 22, 2004, Verne Troyer married model Genevieve Gallen but the following day an annulment was filed, although their engagement was widely reported, Troyer and his lawyer denied that Troyer and Gallen had any planned for a formal wedding, accusing Genevieve Gallen had fabricated the story for her own financial gain. Troyer has also battled with cocaine addictions and alcoholism. A private sex home video scandal was released on June 25, 2008, showing Troyer having sex with his former live-in partner-girlfriend Ranae Shrider, filmed in her hometown in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, and also during the 2008′s Easter Weekend at Raffles L. Ermitage Hotel, which was leaked by Ranae Shrider, to the public to TMZ. Kevin Blatt, tried to sell this sex video, he is the same  man responsible for brokering for the Paris Hilton sex videotape in 2003. Troyer, sued kevin Blatt, TMZ and SugarDVD online rental company through his attorney, Ed McPherson, for invasion of privacy and copyright infringement.

8)  Filius Flitwick

Filius Flitwick is the Hogwarts Charms Master and the Ravenclaw head, and is characterized as being very short, having been a model student and a former duelling champion. Filius Flitwick uses his magical skills to help decorate the Great Hall for Christmas in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Flitwick is one of the teachers who casts spells by putting charms on a hundred keys so they can fly, to make it difficult to find the key to the door leading to the next chamber and to guard the Philosopher’s Stone. 

Warwick Davis

Warwick Ashley Davis is an English actor, born February 3, 1970, notable for his roles in Willow as lead character  Willow Ufgood , and the scary character of Leprechaun film series, in the Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi as Ewok Wicket, and in the Harry Potter film series playing te character as Professor Filius Flitwick and also Griphook . In the sitcom Life’s Too Short, Davis has also starred as a fictionalized version of himself, written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Davis is 3 ft 6 in tall because of his dwarfism. Davis portrayed the character of Nikabrik, the Dwarf, in the film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, adding to his previous work in the Chronicles of Narnia series TV adaptations. Unlike most cases of  dwarfism , the 70% who have a condition called achondroplasia (a common cause of dwarfism), Warwick Davis’ case of dwarfism is caused by genetic condition called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita (SED). Davis is married to Samantha (born 1971) and has two children, who live in Yaxley, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. His wife, Samantha and his two children has also achondroplasia, and SED. Samantha is the daughter Peter Boroughs, his business partner and the sister of actress Hayley Burroughs. The Burroughs family and Warwick Davis met while filming Willow, where they had minor roles as Nelwyn villagers. The Ewok, is a fictional forest-dwelling creatures featured in the Star Wars films, are named after the Miwok.

9)  Peter Pettigrew, nicknamed Wormtail – The Death Eater

Peter Pettigrew, nicknamed Wormtail, is the only Death Eater known to have been in a House while at Hogwarts, other than Slytherin (Gryffindor). In the House, Wormtail became a close friend of Sirius Black, James Potter and Remus Lupin, although in this gorup, he was the least intelligent and least talented. Pettigrew becomes an Animagus, through the help of Sirius Black and James Potter, having the ability to transform at will into a rat. Peter Pettigrew joined  Voldemort forces, after leaving Hogwarts, and in exchange for his own life, he agreed to become a spy for Voldemort within the Order of the Phoenix, of which Pettigrew is a member. When the Potters learned that their son, Harry, is the target of Lord Voldemort, Sirius Black suggested to them to use Peter Pettigrew as Secret-Keeper because Sirius does not believe Voldemort would ever suspect a weak, talentless thing like Pettigrew. But Pettigrew betrayed the secret to Voldemort, an act that leads to James and Lily Potter‘s death (and unexpectedly will lead to, Voldemort’s near-destruction). Sirius Black seeks revenge on Pettigrew, but during the confrontation, Pettigrew framed up Sirius by accusing him publicly of the Potters’ deaths, murders twelve Muggles, and cuts off his own index finger before Pettigrew transformed into a rat. Pettigrew is awarded posthumously the Order of Merlin, and hide for the next twelve years. To keep an eye on the world of wizarding, Pettigrew disguises as a rat, first as pet of Percy Weasley, and then as pet of Ron Weasley, which the Weasley family nicknamed him Scrabbers, with his missing toe from one paw due to the finger he cut off. Wormtail begins strangling Harry with the silver hand, but when Harry reminded him that he once saved his life, Wormtail became hesitant for a moment, thus, the silver hand turns against him, strangled Wormtail to death as punishment for his moment of pity. However, in the book, Pettigrew is not strangled by his own silver hands to death in Malfoy Manor, but instead, Dobby, the house elf, struck him and collapses and is presumed killed. Sirius Black, nicknamed Padfoot, is the House of Black’s last heir, a once notable pure-blood Wizarding family. Sirius Black makes a final appearance toward the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ end when he is requested to appear in semi-living real form from beyond the Resurrection Stone veil to help Harry walk through the Forbidden Forest and sacrifice his own life to Voldemort. Actor Gary Oldman, played the character role of Sirius Black in the film adaptations of Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows-Part 2.While the young Sirius as a teenager was played by actor James Walters a brief appearance in Order of the Phoenix.

Timothy Leonard Spall

Timothy Leonard Spall OBE, is an English character actor and presenter, born February 27, 1957, best known for his antagonist character in the Harry Potter film series as Peter Pettigrew also called Wormtail, in the 2010′s The King’s Speech as Winston Churchill, in the 2009′s The Dammed United as Peter Taylor, in 2007′s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street as Beadle Bamford and his own documentary in 2010 to 2012 Timothy Spall: Back at Sea. Spall has also appeared in a lead role in the Palme d’Or winning, Academy Award  five times, nominated in Secret & Lies 1996 film, and in 2003 The Last Samurai, he had a supporting role, and in 2005, played the lead role in Pierrepoint. Timothy Spall was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) on December 31, 1999. Spall played the role as Peter Pettigrew or Wormtail, in the Harry Potter film series where he gained international recognition. Spall guest-starred in the Red Dwarf series 5 episode Back to Reality in 1991, and in the 1993′s Rab C. Nesbitt. Timothy Spall is married to Shane and together, the couple has three children, Pascale, born in 1976, Rafe born in 1983, who is also an actor, and daughter Mercedes born in 1985. Spall lives in Forest Hill,south-east London. Timothy Spall was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 1996, but has since been in remission. He and his wife owned the Dutch Barge and as part of the Timothy Spall: Back at Sea, BBC Four TV series, the couple  have been sailing around the British Isles.

10) Minerva McGonagall

Minerva McGonagall is the head of Gryffindor House and the Deputy Headmistress, Transfiguration professor, and later became the Headmistress at Hogwarts, began teaching in December 1956. Minerva McGonagall was first introduced in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone opening chapter, when she meet Profesor Dumbledore at No.4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, which is the home of Vernon and Petunia Dursley, Harry Potter’s aunt and uncle. McGonagall is characterized as tall, with black hair typically drawn into a tight bun, wearing an emerald green robes, a pointed hat, and always has a very prim facial expression, speaks with a slight Scottish accent. According to Rowling, Minerva McGonagall is a sprightly 70-year-old woman, wearing square spectacles matching the markings around the eyes of her Animagus form of a British Shorthair silver Tabby cat, although McGonagall was rarely seen using her ability to transform into an animal, she has the distinction of being the first Animagus introduced in the series and being one of the few registered Animagi of the century. Harry Potter’s immediate impression of McGonagall, is of someone who is not to be crossed. She has a fondness for her handkerchief, her tartan, (a woolen or worsted cloth woven with stripes of various colors commonly worn by Scottish Highlanders)  one hat, dressing gown, and dress robes are patterned with it.

Dame Margaret Natalie “Maggie” Smith, age 78

Dame Margaret Natalie “Maggie” Smith DBE, is a British film, stage and television actress , first appeared 1952 on stage and had an extensive, various stage career, film and television acting with the span of over sixty years. Smith is one of he most acclaimed actress in Britain and has appeared in over 50 films. Smith notable characters is seen in the Clash of the Titans, Hook, Sister Act film series, and in the highly successful Harry Potter film series as Professor Minerva McGonagall. Smith portrayed the role as Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham in the critically acclaimed drama Downtown Abbey, for which she has won a Golden Globe and two consecutive Emmy awards. Smith has been married twice, first marriage is with actor Robert Stephens, on June 29, 1967 at Greenwich Register Office, ten days after the birth of their first child. Smith and Stephens had two sons, actors Chris Larkin (born in 1967) and Toby Stephens (born in 1969), and became a grandmother via her two sons. On May 6, 1974, the couple divorced. On August 23, 1975, Maggie Smith married playwright Beverly Cross at the Guildford Register Office. On March 20, 1988, Beverly Cross died at age 66. Smith was diagnosed with Graves disease (an autoimmune disease commonly affecting the thyroid, causing frequently an enlargement twice or more size of goiter) in January 1988, and has been undergoing radiotherapy treatments and eyes surgery. It was revealed in 2007, that Smith had been diagnosed with breast cancer, disclosed by Mandrake’s diary at the Sunday Telegraph. According to reports, Smith was reported to have made a full recovery.

Professor Firenze

Professor Firenze was a centaur, a Divination teacher from 1996 to 1998, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy and part of the Forbidden Forest Centaur colony. Firenze saved Harry Potter in 1992, in the forest from Lord Voldemort, frightening him away and carried Harry on his back to a safer place. His centaur herd saw this as a dishonorable act, despite the heroic deeds, as they considered themselves as great cretures to be ridden by humans. About four years later, In March 1996, after four years, Headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, hired him to teach Divination in Sybill Trelawney’s place, afterTrelawney was sacked by Dolores Umbridge. And again, the centaurs herd, saw this as a slavery act, and his herd attacked and banished him, and would have killed him were Rubeus Hagrid’s intervention. Sybill Trelawney was returned ti teach to her classroom after Professor Dumbledore was reinstated as headmaster, but since Firenze’s was still estranged with his centaurs colony, Dumbledore allowed Trelawney and Firenze to continue teaching, although Trelawney was uncomfortable with sharing her classes with a centaur. When Firenze was injured during the Battle of Hogwarts, he returned to his colony when the other centaurs realized and had come to the opinion that his pro-human leanings were not so shameful.

Ray Fearon

Raymond “Ray” Fearon age 46, is a British actor who has worked in theater, and known for his character as Nathan Harding, as a garage mechanic in Coronation Street on ITV’s long-running soap opera. Fearon appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, playing the character of a centaur named Firenze. In July 2013 Fearon played Macduff opposite McBeth (played by actor Kenneth Branagh) and lead actress Alex Kingston as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at Manchester International Festival. Fearon has a daughter named, Rosa May Fearon.

11)  Nanny McPhee Returns

Nanny McPhee Returns, is a sequel to the 2005 film Nanny McPhee. The plot of the film is about Isabel Green who is driven to her wits’ end by her hectic life, trying to keep the family farm, working and running her job in the village shop, with the help of Mrs. Docherty, the elderly and partly blind woman, attending to her three dutiful but rowdy, noisy and jolly children, Norman, Megsie and Vincent, while her husband is away at war. So when Cyril and Celia Gray, her children’s two naughty and spoiled cousins, are sent to live with her on their farm, another kind of war is being fought between the two sets of children, where Isabel Green needs a little magic. Green heard a mysterious voice telling her that she needs Nanny McPhee and was surprised, one stormy night upon Nanny McPhee’s appearance on her doorstep. Nanny McPhee has five very important base lessons to teach, emphasizing discipline, manners and acceptance of the consequences of an individual’s behavior,  each of which correspond to her unattractive physical appearance such as, grey hair, two large moles, a unibrow, and a snaggle-tooth protruding over her bottom lip, all of which give her the appearance of a stereotypical witch. Nanny McPhee is as ugly as the children are naughty, so every time a lesson is learned, one of her disfigurements vanishes, and so when all five lessons are learned, Nanny McPhee transforms from an ugly witch to beautiful woman.

Professor Sybill Patricia

Professor Sybill Patricia Trelawney was a Divination professor and a witch, teaching Divination alongside Firenze, the Centaur, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Trelawney is also a Seer, she is the great-great-granddaughter of the famous Cassandra Trelawney. During her job interview with Professor Albus Dumbledore, Professor Sybill Trelawney who made the prophecy herself, and sees Harry Potter is the one with the power to vanquish Voldemort. Trelawney accurately predicted the return of Voldemort and the escape of Peter Pettigrew, at the end of school year 1993 to 1994. Trelawney was greatly distressed by Dolores Umbridge, who dismissed her and attempted to banish her from Hogwarts Castle, though Albus Dumbledore who allowed her to remain at the school. She continued to teach in spite of working together with Firenze, the centaur, but continued to teach, since Firenze was welcomed back to his herd. Professor Trelawney’s later life is unknown. Dolores Jane Umbridge was a witch who served as Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic and Ministry of Magic under Ministers Rufus Scrimgeour, Cornelius Fudge and Pius Thicknesse. Umbridge had a wide power over the students, teachers, and the curriculum, which she exercise her influence in  a single entity rules with absolute power because of these three positions at Hogwarts. During her time at Hogwarts, Umbbridge was described by cruelty, abusive punishments against students, and because of her interfering and superiority attitude, most of the students and teachers hated her so much. Umbridge was sentenced to Azkaban for her crimes against muggle-borns, after the Second Wizarding War.

Emma Thompson

Emma Thompson is a British actress, comedian, screenwriter and author, born April 15, 1959, first rise to prominence in 1987, when she appeared in Tutti Frutti and Fortunes of War, BBC TV series, where she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for her work for both TV series. She also appeared in notable film and television credits including Harry Potter film series, Much Ado About Nothing in 1993, Wit in 2001, Love Actually in 2003, Angels in America in 2003, Nanny McPhee in 2005, and 2010s Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, in 2012′s Men in Black and Brave. Emma Thompson appeared in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as Sybill Trelawney. In October 2005, the film Nanny McPhee, adapted by Emma Thompson from Nurse Matilda books by  Christianna Brand, and have written the screenplay, worked on the project for nine years, and starred alongside her mother who appeared in a cameo role. Emma Thompson was first married to actor-director Kenneth Branagh, in 1989, whom she met in 1987 while filming Fortune of War, the television series. Thompson and Branagh announced in September 1995, that they had separated. Their relationship has deteriorated as Emma Thompson was suffering depression living alone as Branagh was busy working in various locations. Thompson began a relationship with her co-star Greg Wise, in 1995, while filming a movie together,claiming on how she was able to overcome her depression, during an BBC Radio Four interview.  Thompson and Wise had a daughter, Gaia Romilly, born when Thompson was 39 in 1999. Her pregnancy was achieved via IVF treatment. Wise and Thompson attempted to have another child using the same method of IVF, however, after three years of treatment, it was unsuccessful. Thompson and Wise were married in 2003 in Dunoon, Scotland, where they have a home, and that same year, the couple, adopted informally Tindyebwa, a Rwandan orphan and former child soldier, they met him at age 16, at a Refugee Council event  and invited him to spend Christmas at their home. The Thompson and family is residing in West Hampstead, London.

12)  Max Grodénchik

Max Grodénchik also known as Michael Grodénchik, is an American stage, film, and television actor, best known for his role in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine television series, playing the character as Rom. He had auidtioned previously for the role as Quark, Rom’s brother, but the role was given to Armin Shimerman. In 1997, Grodénchik and Shimerman both guest-appeared on Space Cadets, a British Sci-Fi Quiz show, in opposite teams. Grodénchik played Sovak and Par Lenor in episodes Captain’s Holiday and The Perfect Mate of the Star Trek: The Next Generation. He can quote by memory on the Rules of Acquisition which he is an expert. He played the writer of those rules as  Gint, and the first Grand Nagus, in a dream sequence involving Quark.

Rom

Rom is a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine recurring character portrayed by actor Max Grodénchik. Rom is a Ferengi, a fictional extraterrestrial race from the Star Trek universe. Rom’s first wife, Prinadora, bore his son Nog. Prinadora stayed behind on Ferenginar, when Rom first came to Deep Space Nine, but their marriage was dissolved,when Pinadora stealing the bulk of his profit. After going through a period of doubt about Leeta’s love, because of a failed first marriage, Rom married a Bajoran Dabo girl named Leeta, employed at Quark’s bar. Rom the son of Keldar and Iska, the younger brother of Quark and the father of Nog. 

Armin Shimerman

Armin Shimerman is an American actor and voice actor, best known for playing as Quark, the Ferengi bar owner and bartender in the long running television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Principal Snyder, as Stan, the caddy in Kramer on Seinfield, in the Ratchet & Clank series , voicing Dr. Nefarious and as Andrew Ryan, one of the BioShock’s antagonists. He also appeared in Atlas Shrugged, a 2011 movie adaptation of Ayn Rand, playing the role as Dr. Potter. Shimerman is known for his role as Quark, the Ferengi bar owner in television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and his inclusion appearances with the Star Trek franchise as other Ferengi characters in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes The Last Outpost and Peak Performance. Shimerman is married to actress Kitty Swink.

Quark

Quark a Ferengi bar owner, is a fictional character in the American television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Quark is the older brother of Rom, and the uncle of Nog, played by Armin Shimerman, was depicted as a member of an extraterrestrial race known as the Ferengi who are stereotypically ultra-capitalist and only motivated by profit.

Aron Eisenberg

Aron Eisenberg is an American actor known for his role as Nog on television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, born January 6, 1969 in Hollywood, California. Eisenberg was born with only one partially functioning kidney and at age 17, he received a kidney transplant. This slowed or stopped abnormally in development of growth, at 5′ (1.52 m). Eisenberg has appeared on TV shows such as Tales From the Crypt, Amityville: The Evil Escapes, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, The Wonder Years and General Hospital. In 1990′s, Eisenberg had a repeating guest star role in The Secret World Of Alex Mack, the  TV series playing the role as Jerry. On Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Eisenberg played the role Ferengi Nog, requiring him to appear under heavy makeup to appear as a Ferengi, he appeared without makeup as a news vendor in the episode Far Beyond the Stars, appeared as guest-star on episode Initiations, as Kar, a Kazon, of Star Trek Voyager. Aron Eisenberg is currently a professional photographer. 

Nog as Lieutenant J.G.

Nog, Ferengi character portrayed by Aron Eisenberg, is a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine recurring character on the science fiction television series. Nog is the first Ferengi to join Starfleet. Nog is the son of Rom and the nephew of Quark.

13)  Maleficent

Maleficent is a witch who has the capability to transform as a fire-breathing dragon, an evil character and antagonist in Once Upon A Time film.

Kristin Bauer van Straten

Kristin Bauer van Straten born Kristin A. Neubauer is an American film and television actress, best known for her role as vampire Pam or Pamela in True Blood the HBO series, on Seinfield as Gillian Jerry’s girlfriend or Man-Hands, and in the ABC series Once Upon a Time as sorceress Maleficient. Van Straten is of German descent, she married South African musician Abri van Straten, of the group The Lemmings, on August 1, 2009 at her family’s farm in Wisconsin. Van Straten portrayed the evil Maleficient, the wicked fairy godmother in the 2011 fantasy TV Series Once Upon a Time using the name from the rival of the Wicked Queen of Snow White of the Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

14)   Alice Mollinia Kingsleigh

Alice Mollinia Kingsleigh is a 19-year-old young girl a character in Alice in Wonderland film, and her return to Wonderland, (as a child she have been in Wonderland, although she has forgotten it, just thought it as a dream, and now she was required to return to defeat the Jabberwocky, which becomes a rite of passage as she discovers her voice and herself. The character of Alice is portrayed in the movie as a calm, pretty young girl, with serene disposition and a soothing voice. In the story, Alice changes size, ranging from a height of six inches to two feet to eight-and-a-half feet, to a maximum of 20 feet (6.1 m) tall. Alice Kingsleigh is played by actress Mia Wasikowska.

Mia Wasikowska

Mia Wasikowska is an Australian actress born October 14, 1989. Wasikowska first became known following her critically acclaimed  appearance in the In Treatment, an HBO television series. In 2010, she gained worldwide prominence after she starred in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland playing the lead character as Alice, earned $1 billion-grossing and also  appeared in The Kids Are All Right, for which she received the Hollywood Awards’ Breakthrough Actress Award. Wasikowska appeared in Jane Eyre, a Cary Fukunaga adaptation playing the title character in 2011, and also starred in Restless by Gus Van Sant and Albert Nobbs by Rodrigo Garcia, starred in Lawless by John Hillcoat in 2012 and in 2013′s Stoker by Park Chan-wook. Wasikowska was given her first break at age seventeen, in the United States after she auditioned for the role via a videotape, and portrayed a suicidal gymnast character named Sophie, in weekly drama In Treatment by HBO. In July 2008, after a lengthy search, Wasikowska was cast as the lead character in Tim Burton’s recreation of Alice in Wonderland, with famous co-stars Johnny Depp (as the Hatter), Anne Hathaway (as the White Queen) and Helena Bonham Carter (as the Red Queen orQueen of Hearts). Wasikowska is an avid photographer during her free time, and currently lives in Bronte, New South Wales.

15)  Queen of Hearts

The Red Queen is a fictional character Through the Looking-Glass, a writer and mathematician Lewis Carroll’s fantasy novella (a written, fictional, a definitive story, normally longer than a short story but shorter than a novel, a common literary genre in several European languages). The Red Queen is oftenly confused with the Queen of Hearts from the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland previous book, although the two are very different, and also the Queen of Hearts is commonly mistaken for the Red Queen, in the Through the Looking-Glass story’s sequel, but in reality shares none of her characteristics other than being a queen. Lewis Caroll, described her as a foul-tempered monarch, pictured as a blind fury, and who is fast to sentence a death penalty at the slightest offense, with her famous line, which she repeats often, as Off with their heads! The Queen of Hearts is referred to queen from a of playing cards by Alice, but in the story, she is considered a ruler of the lands and is able to talk, alongside the King of Hearts. With a Through the Looking-Glass motif as it represents the game of chess, the Red Queen is described in the story as the antagonist, as she is the queen opposing Alice. Despite this, The initial encounter of Alice with the Red Queen is a cordial one, explaining the rules of Chess which concerns promotion specifying that Alice who started out as a pawn, can become a queen and reaching the eighth square at the opposite end of the board. In the chess game, as a queen, the Red Queen is able to move very fast and effortlessly.

Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter CBE is an English actress, born May 26, 1966, who made her acting debut in A Pattern of Roses, a television adaptation of K. M. Peyton before winning her first film role as Lady Jane, the lead character. Carter is best known for her various character  roles in films such as A Room with a View, Fight Club, The King’s Speech, and portrayed in the Harry Potter film series as a villain character Bellatrix Lestrange, collaborating frequently with director Tim Burton, as her domestic partner, in various films such as Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Alice in Wonderland and Dark Shadows.  In 2012, She played the role Miss Havisham in Great Expectations, and Madame Thénardier in Les Misérables. In 2012, Bonham Carter was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire(CBE) in the New Year honor lists for drama services, and on February 22, 2012, the Queen at Buckingham Palace gave her CBE honor. Bonham Carter began her relationship with director Tim Burton in 2001, whom she met while filming Planet of the Apes, where Tim Burton has include her in the casts. The couple is living in two adjoining houses in Belsize Park, London. The couple has a son, Billy Raymond Burton, born on October 4, 2003. On December 15, 2007, Bonham Carter gave birth to her second child, a daughter named Nell Burton, in Central London.

16)  White Queen

The White Queen is a fictional character who appeared in Through the Looking-Glass in Lewis Carroll’s fantasy novella. Along with her husband the White King, she is one of the first characters to be seen in the story. The White Queen first appeared in the drawing room just beyond the title looking-glass as an animated chess-piece, not able to see or hear the main character, Alice. The White Queen is looking for her daughter Lily. Alice helped, her by lifting the White Queen and White King onto the table, with their beliefs they were thrown up by an invisible volcano.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Jacqueline Hathaway is an American actress, born November 12, 1982.  In 1999 she appeared in Get Real television series after numerous performances on stage. Hatahway came to prominence in The Princess Diaries a Disney film playing the role as Mia Thermopolis in 2001 and in its sequel in 2004. Anne Hathaway has starred in dramatic films such as Havoc and Brokeback Mountain in 2005, The Devil Wears Prada in 2006 with Meryl Streep, and as Jane Austen in 2007s Becoming Jane. In 2008, She won several awards for her performance in 2008 and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for Rachel Getting Married. In 2010, She starred in the box office hits Valentine’s Day, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and won Emmy Award for her voicing over performance on The Simpsons and film Love and Other Drugs. Hathaway portrayed Selina Kyle as Catwoman in 2012′s The Dark Knight Rises by Christopher Nolan and as Fantine in Les Misérables by Tom Hooper. Hathaway began a romantic relationship with Italian real estate developer Rafaello Follieri in 2004, however their relationship ended in mid-June, 2008, since Follieri was arrested on June 24, 2008, on charges of defrauding investors out of millions of dollars in a scheme, in which Follieri posed as the point man of the Vatican on real-estate investing. According to reports, the FBI confiscated the private journals of Anne Hathaway from Follieri’s New York City apartment as part of their ongoing investigation into Follieri’s activities, however, Hathaway was not charged with any crime. Follieri was sentenced to four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty earlier on October 23, 2008. Anne Hathaway began dating actor Adam Shulman in November 2008 and were married on September 29, 2012, in Big Sur, California in an interfaith Jewish and Roman Catholic service.

17) The Knave of Hearts

The Knave of Hearts is a character from the Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland book. In the first in the chapter8, 11 and 12, The Knave of Hearts is mentioned dealing his trial for a tart burglary in which the presiding judge is the King of Hearts. Eventually, Alice defends the Knave when she was called as a witness, after the evidence becomes increasingly absurd, although The Knave of Hearts rarely speaks during the trial. The Mad Hatter (portrayed by Johnny Depp) is called to give evidence but spends his entire time being nervous in front of the King and Queen of Hearts, and the cook of the Duchess is called to tell the court what tarts are made of, the Knave does not offer a very good defense. The Knave denied he wrote a letter that mysteriously appears in the court, but that he already knows is not signed. The Knave of Hearts real name is given as Ilosovic Stayne, portrayed by actor Crispin Glover.

Crispin Glover

Crispin Hellion Glover is an American film actor, director and screenwriter, recording artist, publisher, and author, born April 20, 1964, best known for playing eccentric character, such as George McFy in Back to the Future, as Layne in River’s Edge, unfriendly character living apart from society, Rubin Farr in Rubin and Ed, as Andy Warhol in The Doors, the Thin Man in Charlie’s Angels and its sequel, the big screen adaptation, as Willard Stiles in the remake of Willard, in Alice in Wonderland as The Knave of Hearts, Phil in Hot Tub Time Machine and in Epic Movie as spoof of Willy Wonka. In the Open Season franchise, he voice over Fifi, and appeared in the Freaky Deaky screen adaption of the Elmore Leonard novel. His most notable and breakout role was as George McFly in Back to the Future in 1985 by Robert Zemeckis, an international box office success, and also voiced over the 6th films. However, the role George McFly was reduced and recast, when Glover and the producers did not agree on terms for him to appear in the sequels. Glover has continued to play eccentric roles or unusual or odd behavior on the part of an individual, types, for example the role of Andy Warhol i 1991′s The Doors by Oliver Stone and many more. Glover appeared as the monster Grendel in Beowulf, the 2007 film, playing the part through performance capture technology.

18)  Tweedledum and Tweedledee

Tweedledum and Tweedledee are fictional characters in an English nursery rhyme and in Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll, who introduced two fat little men named Tweedledum and Tweedledee, quotes the nursery rhyme, which the two brothers then go on to enact. The Tweedle brothers never contradict with each other, even though when one of them, agrees to have a battle, according to the rhyme, they are also shown hitting each other as in Disney film in 1951. Tweedledum and Tweedledee are portrayed by Matt Lucas in the 2010′s film  Alice in Wonderland, whose face was digitally added to the bodies of both Tweedledum and Tweedledee. The characters Tweedledum and Tweedledee are the court jesters of the Red Queen, but are secretly part of the resistance that supports the White Queen. They help the White Rabbit lure Alice to Wonderland and but later help her escape the Queen’s soldiers, in the early part of the film, but are then caught themselves by the Jubjub bird. 

Matt Lucas

Matt Lucas, born Matthew Richard “Matt” Lucas, is an English comedian, screenwriter, actor and singer, born March 5, 1974, best known for his work with David Walliams in Little Britain, the television show, his  roles as George Dawes, the scorekeeping baby in Shooting Star, the comedy panel game and in Alice in Wonderland film as Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Matt Lucas was ranked seventh in the list of the UK’s 100 most influential gay men and women, in May 2007 by The Independent British newspaper. He appeared on Celebrity in April 2004′s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?  winning £62,500 for the charity. As of September 2012, Matt Lucas live with his Bridesmaids co-star, Rebel Wilson, an Australian actress, an avid fan of Arsenal Football Club, in West Hollywood. In an interview, when he guested on The Rob Brydon Show, Lucas admitted, that he does not drive because of his tendency to daydream while driving. Lucas is openly gay and revealed he first had an inkling of being a gay, at the age of seven. Lucas entered into a civil partnership  in December 2006, with Kevin McGee, in a lavish ceremony in Central London, with famous guests celebrities such as Barbara Windsor, Neil Tennant, Elton John and Courtney Love. Matt Lucas and Kevin McGee’s  civil partnership was dissolved through the High Court in 2008, after being together for six years,  becoming the first high-profile civil partnership dissolution in Britain.

19)  Mad Hatter

The Hatter also called Hatta in Through the Looking-Glass, is a fictional character in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and the sequel story.  Hatta is often referred to as the Mad Hatter, though this term was never used by Carroll. The phrase mad as a hatter pre-dates  the work of Carroll and the characters the Hatter and the March Hare are initially referred to as both mad by the Cheshire Cat,  with both first appearing in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, in A Mad Tea-Party, the seventh chapter.

Johnny Depp

John Christopher “Johnny” Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, film producer, and musician, born June 9, 1963, and has won the awards for Best Actor in the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild. In 1980′s Depp rose to prominence on television series 21 Jump Street, and was known a teen idol. Dissatisfied with that status, Depp turned for more challenging roles in films, played the title character of the acclaimed 1990′s Edward Scissorhannds, in 1999′s box office success in films such as his role as police constable Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow, 2005′s role as as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, portrayed the role as Mad Hatter in 2010′s Alice in Wonderland, 2011′s Rango and as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean film series, from 2003 up to the present. Depp has collaborated in eight films with director and friend Tim Burton, the most recent is the 2012′s, as Barnabas Collins a 200-year-old vampire in Dark Shadows. From 1983 to 1985, Depp was first married to Lori Anne Allison, and later ended in divorce. He was engaged in the late 1980s to actresses Jennifer Grey and Sherilyn Fenn, before proposing in 1990 to Winona Ryder, his co-star in Edward Scissorhands film, for whom he tattooed on his right arm, WINONA FOREVER in 1998, followed by a four-year relationship with Kate Moss, the British supermodel, and began a relationship with Vanessa Paradis,  a French actress and singer whom he met while filming The Ninth Gate. Depp and Paradis has two children together, a daughter, born in 1999, Lily Rose Melody Depp and a son born in 2002, John “Jack” Christopher Depp III. In June 2012, Depp and Paradis announced their separation, after months of media speculation. Depp most successful films commercially have been Pirates of the Caribbean (film series) which grossed US$ 3,727 million, Alice in Wonderland which grossed US$ 1,024 million, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which grossed US$ 474 million and The Tourist with co-star Angelina Jolie, which grossed US$ 278 million worldwide.

Davy Jones

Davy Jones is a fictional character in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, he also appeared in Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End. Davy Jones is the Flying Dutchman’s captain (based on the feared ghost ship with the same name featured in nautical lore), roaming the seas in search of souls to serve upon his vessel for a century. In the story, Davy Jones’s original purpose was to carry souls of those who died at sea from this world to the next world on his vessel. He was charged with this duty by his one true love, Calypso, a sea goddess, and according to tales, for every ten years at sea he could spend one day on land to be with her.

Bill Nighy

Bill Nighy, born William Francis “Bill” Nighy, is an English actor, worked in theatre and television before his first cinema role in 1981, and made his name in television with 1991′s The Men’s Room, portrayed the character as a womaniser Prof. Mark Carleton, whose extramarital affairs kept him with remarkable energy. His notable roles in various films includes Love Actually in 2003, Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, and as Viktor in the Underworld film series. He also appeared in the films such as Lawless Heart, I Capture the Castle, the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (most notable in Shaun of the Dead), The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Notes on a Scandal, Hot Fuzz, Valkyrie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 1, Rango and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  Bill Nighy had a 27-year-relationship with English actress Diana Quick, with whom he has a daughter, actress Mary Nighy. In 2008, they separated amicably. Nighy suffers from Dupuytren’s contracture also known as morbus Dupuytren, Dupuytren’s disease or palmar fibromatosis, a condition which causes the ring and little finger of each hand to be permanently bent inwards towards the palm.

20)  The Grinch

Grinch is a fictional character created by Dr. Seuss, and first appeared as the 1957′s antihero in How the Grinch Stole Christmas! children’s book. The Grinch, green creature is a devious, anti-holiday spirit character referred to a person opposed to Christmas time celebrations or to someone with a coarse, greedy attitude. The Grinch described as depicted as a cold and heartless furry green recluse (although in the original book and story, the Grinch is colorless) living in seclusion on a cliff overlooking the cheerful, optimistic, and sunny  Whoville community. The Grinch scorns the Christmas season and the boisterous festivities customarily celebrated during the holiday, dreading the noise. However, another Grinch’s bitter hostility contributing factor and bitterness regarding the holidays is the small size of his heart, pointed out at the start of the book his character introduction, resulting in his inability to appreciate holiday joy. It is written that he is irritated by other people’s joy and happiness and derives pleasure from disturbing the peace and spoiling other people’s merriment. Max, his long suffering pet dog, helped the Grinch planned a plot to sabotage the Whoville’s Christmas by costuming himself as Santa Claus, breaking into their homes to steal their holiday decorations and gifts. In spite of his evilness, the Grinch is happily accepted into society, reborn into a kinder self. However, in other media or artwork, the Grinch is still normally portrayed or recognized as a bitter and ill-tempered character.

Jim Carrey

The Canadian-American actor, comedian and producer James Eugene “Jim” Carrey, born January 17, 1962, and garnered four Golden Globe Awrad nominations, winning two awards. Jim Carrey, is known for his boisterous form of comedy called slaptick performances, he has been considered as one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood. Carrey’s first leading roles in major productions was the 1994′s Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, followed by Dumb and Dumber also in 1994, The Mask (1994), and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995). Carrey gave a critically acclaimed performance in 1997′s film Liar Liar, which earned him a Golden Flobe Award nomination for Best Actor.  In 1998, Jim Carrey starred in The Truman Show and Man on the Moon (1999), with each garnering him bset Actor in the Golden Globe Award. Carrey gained further recognition for his portrayal of the The Grinch in 2000, in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Bruce Almighty in 2003. Jim Carrey is in talks to repeat his role as Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber To, with filming scheduled to start in 2014. Carrey has Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, and revealed he has battled depression, and to deal with his depression, Carrey took Prozac, eventually deciding to quit from medications, and has stated that he no longer takes medications or stimulants of any kind, not even coffee. Carrey has been married twice. His first marriage was to former actress Melissa Womer, Comedy Store waitress or a comedy club located in West Hollywood, California, whom he married on March 28, 1987. The two divorced in 1995. After a year, Jim Carrey married Lauren Holly, his Dumb and Dumber co-star, on September 23, 1996, however, the marriage lasted less than a year, and ended in divorce. Carrey was involved in numerous relationships, in 1990s t0 early 2000, such as Laurie Holden, January Jones and Anine Bing (30-year old a Danish designer,model and singer), and the  much-publicized yet short-lived romance with Renée  Zellweger, his Me, Myself and Irene co-star, whom he dated, and was engaged from 1999 to 2000. Carrey met model and actress Jenny McCarthy in 2005 and announced their relationship publicly in June 2006, but ended their nearly five years relationship in April 2010.  Carrey has one daughter, from his first marriage, named Jane Erin Carrey (born September 6, 1987). On February 27, 2010, Jim Carrey announced via his Twitter account that his daughter had given birth to her first child, a boy. Jane Carrey was an American Idol contestant in 2012. In October 2004, Jim Carrey received U.S. Citizenship and remains a dual citizen of both the United States and Canada.

21) Tootsie

Tootsie is an American comedy-drama film in 1982, portrayed by Dustin Hoffman, the story of a talented but having unstable career as an actor whose reputation for being difficult forces him to adopt a new identity as a woman to look for a job. The comedy-drama movie stars Dustin Hoffman who played the role as Tootsie, directed and produced by Sydney Pollack, with a supporting casts, Jessica Lange, Teri Garr, Dabney Coleman, Charles Durning, Geena Davis, Bill Murray, and Doris Belack. Jessica Lange, won the the Best Supporting actress Academy Award, for her performance as Julie Nichols. In 2000, Tootsie, the movie earned a total of ten Academy Awards nominations and the American Film Institute ranked Tootsie as the second funniest film of all time.

Dustin Hoffman

American actor Dustin Lee Hoffman better known as Dustin Hoffman, he has been known for his versatile portrayals of antiheroes and vulnerable characters since 1960′s, was soon followed by his movie The Graduate, his breakthrough 1967 role as Benjamin Braddock, in the title character. Since then Dustin Hoffman’s career has rise to popularity on cinema, with appearance to television and the stage. Hoffman’s most notable films were Midnight Cowboy, Little Big Man, Straw Dogs, Papillon, Lenny, Marathon Man, All the President’s Men, Kramer vs. Kramer, Tootsie, Rain Man, Hook and Wag the Dog. In May 1969, Dustin Hoffman married Anne Byrne, and adopted Karina, born in 1966, Anne Byrne’s child from a previous marriage, and with Byrne, they both had daughter Jenna Hoffman, born October 15, 1970. Hoffman and Byrne were residing in Greenwich Village in 1970, in a building next door to a townhouse occupied by the Weatermen members, when a bomb was accidentally detonated in the basement of the townhouse, killing three people. In 1980, Hoffman and Byrne divorced. And in October 1980, Hoffman married Lisa Gottsegen, a businesswoman, and together they have four children, Jacob “Jake” Edward, actor, (born March 20, 1981), Rebecca Lillian (born March 17, 1983), Maxwell Geoffrey (born August 30, 1984), and Alexandra Lydia (born October 27, 1987). Hoffman also has two grandchildren. In 2013, Dustin Hoffman was successfully treated for cancer.

22)  Kelsey Grammer

Allen Kelsey Grammer is an American actor, comedian, producer and director, writer, and voice artist, born February 21, 1955, known for his two-decade portrayal of Dr. Frasier Crane, a psychiatrist on the NBC sitcoms Cheers and Frasier. Grammer has won five Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes, and voiced over on The Simpsons. Grammer has been married four times and has five children. In addition to being producer, he also appeared as guest-star as the Angel of Death on Medium, as Captain Morgan Bateson in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Cause and Effect, and as the role of Dr. Hank McCoy, also known as the Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and in the film adaptation of the George Orwell book Animal Farm where he was the voice of Snowball. Grammer suffered symptoms of heart attack on May 31, 2008, while paddleboarding with his wife, Camille, in Hawaii, and was released on June 4, 2008, and was reported as resting comfortable in his home in Hawaii.

23)  Alan Cumming,

Alan Cumming, OBE is a Scottish-American actor, born on January 27, 1965,  who has appeared in several films, television shows and plays. Cummings’ London stage appearances such as Hamlet, the role Maniac in Accidental Death of an Anarchist, where he received an Olivier Award, the lead in Bent, and The Bacchae, the National Theater of Scotland. He retained his British citizenship, when in 2008, he became a naturalized U.S. Citizen. Cumming lives in Manhattan with graphic artist Grant Shaffer, his husband, and their dogs, Honey and Leon. Cumming and Shaffer, dated for two years before entering into a civil partnership on January 7, 2007 at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London. On January 7, 2012, during the couple’s 5th anniversary, of their London union, they remarried in New York. Cumming revealed that he considers himself bisexual, that he had previous relationships, including his eight-year marriage to actress Hilary Lyon, a two-year relationship with actress Saffon Burrows and a six-year relationship with theater director Nick Philippou. Cummings is known for his prominent roles in the Spy Kids trilogy, and his role as Nightcrawler in X-Men 2. Nightcrawler or Kurt Wagner, is a fictional character and a comic superhero in the Marvel Universe, associated with X-Men and Excalibur, appearing originally in comic books which was published by Marvel comics.

24) Hugh Jackman

Hugh Michael Jackman is an Australian actor and producer, born October 12, 1968, who is involved in film, musical theatre, and television, best known for his long-running X-Men film series role as Wolverine, as well as for his lead character in Kate & Leopold, Van Helsing, The Prestige, Australia, Real Steel, Les Miserables and Prisoners. His work in Les Misérables earned him his first nomination for Academy Award for Best Actor  and his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy 2013. Jackman is also a singer, dancer, and actor in stage musicals, and won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy from Oz. In November 2008, Open Salon named Jackman one of the sexiest men alive in November 2008, and that same months, the People magazine named Hugh Jackman the Sexiest Man Alive. Hugh Jackman married actress Deborra-Lee Furness on April 11, 1996 at St. John’s in Toorak, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Furness had suffered two miscarriages, followed by adopting two children, Oscar Maximillian and Ava Eliot.

25) Halle Berry

Halle Maria Berry born Maria Halle Berry, on August 14, 1966 is an American actress and former fashion model, becoming the first and, the only woman of African-American descent to win an Oscar for a leading role, and one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and has been involved in the production of numerous films in which she performed. Berry is also a Revlon spokesmodel and endorser. Before becoming an actress, Berry entered several beauty contests, finishing as the 1st runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant and placed in 1986′s Miss World Pageant in 6th place. Berry reached stardom in the new millennium with roles such as Storm in the 2000 to present X-Men film series, Swordfish in 2001, and in 2002′s Die Another Day, where she played Jinx as James Bond Girl, later finding success in the 2010s with movies such as 2012 Cloud Atlas and 2013 The Call.  In 2005, she also won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress for the role Catwoman, and accepted the award in person, which is one of few celebrities to do. Berry is divorced from baseball player David Justice and musician Eric Benet. Halle Berry has a daughter by model Gabriel Aubry, and a son with her current husband, actor Oliver Martinez.
