2.Roselle – guided her blind owner down 78 floors of the World Trade Center during 9/11

Roselle was a yellow Labrador Retriever who was trained as a guide dog for her blind owner, Michael Hingson. On September 11th, 2001, Roselle and Michael were in the World Trade Center when the first plane hit the building. K9 Officer Axel is from Pennsylvania and is a hero for saving a police officer from an armed suspect. He is a Belgian Malinois, and his handler is Officer Daniel Sparks. The incident happened in February 2020 when Sparks and his K9 partner responded to a call about an armed suspect. The suspect had a gun and refused to put it down, so Officer Sparks and Axel went into action. Axel was able to distract the suspect and keep him away from the officer until backup arrived. Thanks to Axel’s quick thinking and courage, Officer Sparks was able to safely apprehend the suspect.

9. Halo – saving owner from a diabetic seizure

Halo was an energetic, loving black lab who lived with his family in the suburbs. His owners, a young married couple, had adopted him from the local animal shelter a few months before. One night, Halo’s owners were fast asleep in their bedroom when suddenly, Halo began to bark frantically. The couple awoke to find Halo standing over them, his tail wagging and his mouth open in a silent bark. Suddenly, the couple realized what was happening—Halo had sensed that his owner was having a diabetic seizure. With no time to spare, Halo jumped onto the bed and began to lick his owner’s face and paw at her body. His frantic cries alerted the couple to the danger, and they quickly called an ambulance. Thanks to Halo’s quick thinking and instincts, his owner was rushed to the hospital in time to receive the medical attention she needed. Afterward, the couple was forever grateful to Halo for his heroic act of bravery. They rewarded him with extra treats and snuggles, and Halo continued to be a beloved member of the family.

10. Rocky – rescued a boy who was lost in the woods for 44 hours.

Rocky was a brave, loyal dog who never gave up when it came to helping others. One day, a young boy got lost in the woods during a family camping trip. For two days, the boy was nowhere to be found. Everyone frantically searched for him, but to no avail. Then, Rocky, who had been off exploring, appeared out of nowhere and ran straight towards the woods. He was determined to find the boy. After hours of searching, Rocky finally heard a faint whimper coming from the bushes. He dug in and found the lost boy huddled up in a ball and trembling with fear. The boy was so relieved to see Rocky, and the dog comforted him until help arrived. Rocky was hailed as a hero, and the boy was reunited with his family. From then on, Rocky was the boy’s best friend and he never left his side. This story of friendship and loyalty will be remembered for years to come.
