Odd meaning unpaired, occasional, strange or unusual, or a person who is look upon as eccentric with strange job as a regular activity performed by an individual to earn money. An ordinary person usually begins a job by becoming an employee,a volunteer or maybe staring up a new small business. A job duration, in an odd jobs case, may range from an hour basis, full time, part time, temporary odd jobs, seasonal or self-employment. Most job’s series of a person holds in their life is their career. There are a variety of jobs that every person can choose as an occupation for which they have received training or a degree. People who cannot acquire good and permanent jobs, can work  odd jobs, such as part-time work being a handyman, housekeeping or stay unemployed. The practice of holding an additional jobs, often at night, as their part time odd jobs, in addition to one’s main job, commonly to earn extra income to pay rent and other bills is called moonlighting. Thus most person who moonlights may have little time left for resting, sleep or leisure activities.

I quit school at age 15 to begin working to help support my family as a janitor. Carrey stated, “I’d have a baseball bat on my janitor cart because I was so angry. I just wanted to beat the heck out of something”. Carrey also revealed that he never finished high school because he worked full-time to help his family survived the severe economic hardship, and also helped care for his mother who battled a severe, chronic illness. While struggling to obtain work and making a name for himself, Jim Carrey’s father decided to help the young comedian put together a stage act, driving him to Toronto to his first act to debut at Yuk Yuk’s comedy club. Carrey’s impersonations did poorly and this gave him doubts about his capability as a professional entertainer, and that time, his family, were facing financial difficulties to support Jim Carrey’s ambitions. At an unspecified later time, the family’s dealt with financial difficulties was over and moved into a new home. Jim Carrey  signed to open Dangerfield’s tour performance when he was noticed by comedian Rodney Dangerfield,  and eventually brought Carrey to Las Vegas, after which he decided to move to Hollywood.

However, after a decades, Noah Robinson, Sr. a Mississippi farmer and World War II veteran Noah Robinson, Sr. claimed to be her biological father. Oprah and her mother traveled north after she was born, and Winfrey spent her first six years living in rural poverty with her grandmother, Hattie Mae Lee (died February 27, 1963), who was so poor that Winfrey often wore dresses made of potato sacks, and children made fun of her. At age six, Winfrey moved to her mother in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, an inner-city neighborhood who was less supportive than her grandmother,may be  due to the long hours she worked as a maid. During this time, Lee had given birth to another daughter, named Patricia, Winfrey’s younger half-sister, who died at the age 0f 43, in February 2003, and cause of death was related to addiction to cocaine. Oprah Winfrey was temporarily sent to live with her father, Vernon in Nashville, Tennessee in 1962, when her mother, Lee had difficulty of raising both daughters. While Winfrey was in Nashville, Lee gave birth to a third daughter who was given up for adoption, who was also named Patricia, ( hoping to ease the financial difficulties and led to Lee’s being on welfare). Oprah Winfrey was not aware of her second half-sister until 2010. When Winfrey moved back to live with mother, Lee , she again gave birth to a boy named Jeffrey, however, Oprah’s half-brother, died in 1989 of AIDS-related causes. At the age of  13, after suffering years of sex abuse and was molested by her cousin, uncle, and a family friend, Oprah Winfrey ran away from home. As a teenager, her first job was working at a local grocery store. Winfrey won the Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant at the age of seventeen. Winfrey attracted the attention of the WVOL local black radio station, which hired her to do the news part-time.

Pfeiffer was set up on a blind date in January 1993, with television writer and producer David E. Kelley, and they both married on November 13, 1993. Prior to meeting David Kelley, Pfeiffer had entered a proceedings in private adoption, and in March 1993, the adoption of her newborn daughter, Claudia Rose was granted. Pfeiffer gave birth to a son, John Henry Kelley in August 1994.

American actress, singer, songwriter, record producer and philanthropist,  Mariah Carey, born to African American-Venezuelan father, Alfred Roy,and  her mother, Patricia Hickey, is of white Irish descent. Patricia’s family disowned her, after their elopement due to marrying a man of color. Mariah Carey stated in one interview that growing up, she felt a neglected feeling from her maternal family. And due to this ethnicity, Mariah Carey’s family experienced personal struggles within the community. Her parents divorced due to the increasingly strenuous nature of their marriage when Mariah was age three. Mariah Carey started living in a one studio type bedroom in Manhattan, which she shared with four other female students. Carey worked as a waitress for various restaurants,while studying to support her needs, but commonly getting fired after two-week working intervals, due to her behavior. While looking for work to pay for her rent, Carey’s mind and effort still focused with her musical ambitions, as she continued working late until midnight with Margulies, in hopes of completing a demo that could be passed on to recording executives. Carey experienced failure each time she passed her song demo tape, but after so many failures, she was introduced to Brenda K. Starr, a rising pop singer.

Scottish actor and producer Sir Thomas Sean Connery, best known for portraying the James Bond character, which starred him in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983. The People Magazine proclaimed Sean Connery as the “Sexiest Man Alive”in 1989 and in 1999, at age 69, he was voted “Sexiest Man of the Century”. His mother, Euphemia McBain “Effie” McLean, was a cleaning woman, and his father, Joseph Connery, was a factory worker and lorry driver. Connery’s first odd job was as a milkman in Edinburgh with St. Cuthbert’s Co-operative Society. Connery then joined the Royal Navy, but was later discharged from the navy on medical grounds of a condition affecting male generations of Connery’s family, known as the duodenal ulcer. He returned to the co-op, after his released from the navy, and worked among other odd jobs, as a lorry driver, a lifeguard at Portbello swimming baths, a laborer, a coffin polisher and an Edinburgh College of Art artists model, after a suggestion by Archie Brennan, a former Mr. Scotland. As a model, Connery earned 15 shillings an hour. At the age of 18, Connery began bodybuilding, and and was trained by former gym instructor in the British army, Ellington, from 1951. From 1962 to 1973, Connery was married to actress Diane Cilento.  Together they had a son, actor Jason Connery. Sean Connery has been married to Micheline Roquebrune, a Moroccan-French painter since 1975.

American film actor and producer Harrison Ford famous for his performances as Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy and the lead character of the Indiana Jones film series. Ford is the husband of actress Calista Flockhart. Ford was born to mother, former radio actress and homemaker, Dorothy Dora Nidelman, and his father, former actor and advertising executive, Christopher Ford (born John William Ford). Ford has a younger brother, Terence Ford, (an American actor and photographer) was born in 1945. In 1959 to 1960, Harrison Ford worked as the first high school student voice broadcast on high school’s new radio station, WMTH, as the first sportscaster during his senior year. In 1964, Ford traveled to Los Angeles, California in 1964, to apply for a job as radio voice-overs, but failed to get the job, but stayed in California and eventually signed with Columbia Pictures’ New Talent program, a $150 a week contract, playing bit roles in films. His first known part in 1966 film Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round, was an uncredited role as a bellhop (hotel porter or bellboy), played extra without any dialogue in film. Ford was at the bottom of the hiring list, having offended producer Jerry Tokovsky after he played a bellboy in the film feature. He was told by Tokovsky that when actor Tony Curtis, delivered a bag of groceries, he did it like a movie star,Ford felt his job was to act like a bellboy. In 1967, Ford speaking roles continued next with the movie Luv, but his role was still uncredited. Ford worked as carpenter and was then hired to build cabinets at the home of director George Lucas, who later cast him in a crucial supporting role for his film 1973 American Graffiti. Ford’s relationship with Lucas would deeply affect his career in the later years. After director Francis Ford Coppola‘s The Godfather film became a big hit and success, he hired Harrison Ford to expand his office and casts him in small roles in his next two films, 1974 The Conversation and 1979 Apocalypse Now, where he played an army officer named G. Lucas. Harrison Ford’s carpentry work eventually helped a lot to land him his first starring film role. Director George Lucas hired Ford in 1975,  to read lines for actors auditioning for parts in the 1977 Star Wars film, where director George Lucas was won over by Ford’s portrayal, and cast him as Han Solo.
