Korean drama or k-drama for short, referring to television miniseries dramas, filmed and produced in South Korea. These Korean drama became a phenomenon and popular of the Korean wave called Hallyu, throughout Asia and other parts of the world, and also “drama fever” in some countries. The popularity of the Korean drama programming became available in areas with ethnic Koreans, and became famous in the United States. Netflix began offering several Korean dramas as part of its video selection in November 2008, then the DramaFever ,began offering free subtitled video streaming services in the United States on August 2009, with video advertisements. The Korean dramas began airing on a DramaFever channel on Hulu, and Viki stream streams most of the popular dramas with subtitles in different languages from the last few years in May 2010.The Korean dramas streams English-subtitled versions of the most popular current dramas in South Korea. However, some Korean dramas,are not available for North America (region 1) encoding and NTSC video format.

Park Si-hoo played the role of lawyer Seo In-woo in Prosecutor Princess, where he gained  the fame and the term “Seo Byun syndrome” was developed for his growing fans. This success followed in 2011 with the Jo-seon drama period, The Princess’ Man, a critical big hit and ratings. Park Si-hoo’s father was a fashion and commercial model during his younger days, and Park Wu-ho, his younger brother is a former Hyundai Unicorns’ baseball player . Park Si-hoo was charged with allegedly raping a 22-year-old aspiring un-named actress on February 18, 2013. According to some reports, on February 15, 2013, the said starlet and Park Si-hoo was heavily drunk, from a bar at Gangnam District, she and Park went to his apartment in Cheongdam-dong at around 2 a.m., where she lost consciousness and when she woke up, she realized she had been raped. In the City Hunter, Kim Sang-joong played the role as Lee Jin-pyo (Steve Lee) Operation Clean Sweep’s sole survivor, and spend to come between disputing people, or groups years in the Golden Triangle as a drug lord.  As Lee Jin-pyo or Steve Lee, he was full of anger, and wanted to kill all of the people who ordered his team dead. He pretended as a Korean-American investor and uses Lee Yoon-sung as his agent of vengeance. Steve Lee  is killed by the Presidential Security Service in the final episode after he failed to kill President Choi.

In 2007, Kim Sang-ho won Best Supporting Actor at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, for his performance in The Happy Life, in 2010 he appeared in Prosecutor Princess as Na Joong-seok, in 2011′s City Hunter playing the role as Bae Shik-joong/Bae Man-deok (Lyndon/Dindo Bae) a problematic gambler but a very good cook whom Lee Yoon-sung saves from Thailand’s organized gangs of professional assassins and later becomes his close friend. Over the course of the series, Bae and Lee become partners under the scheme of Lee Jin-pyo and shelved up huge debts buying stuff from the home shopping network. Bae Shik-joong, however,was revealed that he witnessed the accident that resulted in Kim Na-na’s deep distress or misery and was hiding in Thailand by the start of the series after he was paid by the culprit, Kim Jong-shik to change his story. At the end of the drama series, Bae decides to start a new life with Kyung-hee in the United States.

In 2001, Daniel Henney started modeling in the U.S. and while attending college, he worked in France, Italy, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
